I can watch videos of my favorite comedians. Amy Scumer is one of my favorite comedians working now. I really enjoy her cooking show Amy Schumer learns to cook. Its a cooking show that makes me laugh. And I don't say that about any other cooking show. Maybe there are funny cooking shows that I have not seen yet.
so maybe for 2021 I could make it a goal to watch more videos of my favorite comedians. i do like to laugh. and I am sure they would make me laugh.

is called mastering standup by stephen Rosenfield. IIt was fun to read and I learned a lot about how to write stand up comedy. But, I think I have forgotten what I read in the book. Before I read mastering stand up I thought well how hard can it be to be a stand up comedian. Pulla few great jokes out of the ether and head up on stage and get ready to make everyone laugh. I could not have been more wrong.
The comedians make it look so easy but, for me after reading the book it does not seen so easy anymore. I constanty tell myself why do the things I want to do have to be so hard. But, then I think about it and anything worth doing is hard at least at first.
I don't know if I want to be a stand up comedian but, the idea of getting up on stage and making people laugh does seem amazing.
One thing I have not do that I wanted to do right after reading the book is watch a lot of stand up comedy so that I can study my favorite comedians. SO maybe I will get that done in 2021. I hope so. I am not getting any younger,
I wanted to start witing jokes this year. But, I have not. There are only about a little mor than two weeks left in 2020 and I have not sat down for even five minutes and said I am taking these five minutes and thinking about and then writing down jokes. At this rate I will never write any jokes.
I was surprised I named this blog daniel's joke factory. I like the name. But, as I have said I am not much of a joke factory this year.
I try to think of a subject I want to write jokes about but, that is as far as writing jokes ahd gone for me. If I never write a good joke its not the end of the word. But, I do like to make people laugh. So I will try to write jokes.
now working on leaning to design programs by reading how to design programs 2. I am also trying to make games by reading how to design your own games with python. Its been over a decade and I am still working on learning to program. I know I do to many tutorials and not enough projects.
I hope to make a graphical games and text games. I don't think anyone will play them. I just think it will be fun. I will start writing a lot of code. Hopefully. I think that is the only way I will learn is if I write code. I think its like writing. Sure I can spend all my time reading grammar books and never write. But, the only way I will get better at writing is to write more. This is the year I wrote code. Or maybe next year will be the year I write code, or the year after that. It will probably end up being the year after that.
Because all my games are unplayable. The reason they are unplayable is that I have not made a computer game. Eleven years of trying to make a game and I have not made one yet. I have read a book or two on how to make a game. Then nothing happens after I finish the book. I don't even make my own game projects while reading the books. I just type the example code into a text editor and get it to run and that is that. Its the old story of a person who wants to make a game and never makes one.
I don't think anyone would ever play a game I make or that I will have any good game ideas. I want to make a game to prove to myself that I can stick with something and get it done. Also I want to see if I have what it takes to make computer programs. Eventually I hope to make a game that is playable. And I am sure it will be terrible. At least I can say that I made it.
I have some terrible ideas for a game and I am trying to learn python so I can get those terrible ideas into computer code.
